University College Ball 2005

The Univ Ball was possibly the worst organised ball in the history of balls. Things started badly when the correct entrance wasn't obvious and we started queuing at the wrong door (we weren't alone here), then there was about an hour's delay before we were let through to where food was being served. The alcohol was bad and ran out really early and there was virtually no entertainment either. What little in the way of entertainment that was put on finished early - the official end time of the ball got moved an hour earlier because there was nothing going on. For a £100 ball, we were unimpressed to say the least (especially because Keble Ball in first year, despite being £20 cheaper was really good). Nonetheless though, I had fun overall, and it was a nice surprise to see James, Chris and Gid there too! But if you're considering going to Univ Ball next year, here's a word of advice: Don't (Okay, so that's a contraction, so more like one and a half words. So sue me. No seriously, I'd like to see someone try to sue me for that (o: ).
